Thea Sharrock directs this mystery comedy based on true events, starring Olivia Colman, Jessie Buckley and Timothy Spall. Edith Swan (Colman) is appalled when she begins to receive offensive, crudely-written letters from an unknown sender, before learning that some of her neighbours have received similar missives. Edith's suspicion turns to her younger neighbour, single mother Rose Gooding (Buckley) who is charged with the harassment, but when Rose confronts her and the two begin to warm to each other, Edith is perplexed as to who the culprit might be.
