This is the first presentation of results from our new regular survey of the oil and related sector, developed with the support of Deloitte as sponsor, with significant input from the United Kingdom Offshore Oil Associaton, Well Services Contractors Associatiion and Offshore Contractors Association. In addition to the regular coverage of business confidence, trends and activity, this first report examines trends in contract relationships and investment. This survey is conducted by Strathclyde University's Fraser of Allander Institute. It covers the period May to August and was conducted in the last week in August and first three weeks in September. 75 firms responded to the questionnaire.
