The present volume seeks to honour the contributions made to legal scholarship over forty-five years by Professor David Carey Miller (1941-2016). In so doing, it examines a range of questions and issues he explored during his academic career. they related, in particular, to comparative law, to land reform in Scotland and South Africa and to the established principles and systematic structure of Scots private law.
