Summary:
In 1991 in response to a growing interest in creative writing, the City of Aberdeen District Council established a residency for a writer with special emphasis on writing for children. Hugh Scott was appointed to the post, which was funded jointly by the City of Aberdeen and the Scottish Arts Council. From his base in the Central Library Hugh talked to groups and individuals about writing and gave advice on getting work published. This collection of poetry was selected from the large number of poems submitted to him during his residency.
