A volume of typewritten reproduced letters addressed to Alexander and Margaret Neil from their relatives in West Aberdeenshire. Alexander was born at Wreaton, Aboyne Parish in 1805, one of several children of Peter Neil and Barbra Abel. Margaret Grant, his wife, was born at Boatingstone, Logie-Coldstone in 1795. They were married at Aboyne June 3, 1833 and left for Canada shortly thereafter. The authors of the letters are James Begg, Alexander Grant, James Grant, William Grant, James Neil, Robert Neil and Andrew Thomson.
