Summary:
Olivia Newman directs this drama based on the bestselling novel by Delia Owens. Kya Clark (Daisy Edgar-Jones), known as the Marsh Girl, raises herself in the marshlands of North Carolina in the 1950s after her parents and older siblings abandon her. Her friend Tate Walker (Taylor John Smith) teaches her to read and write and she falls in love with him but is left behind once again when he goes to college. She later becomes the main suspect in the murder of Chase Andrews (Harris Dickinson), a man who made her empty promises of love and marriage. David Strathairn and Garret Dillahunt also star.
