Mark Bonnar returns to star in the second series of the BBC crime comedy. Following his stint in prison Max McCall (Bonnar) attempts to get his life back on track. However, his attempts at reconciliation with Roy Lynch (Stuart Bowman) prove futile and he turns to Kenny (Emun Elliott) for support instead. Despite his best efforts Max's troubled past continues to haunt him.
