Double bill of animated adventures. In 'The Croods' (2013) a prehistoric family embark on a journey of discovery. Content to stay within the confines of their stone-age cave, Grug (voice of Nicolas Cage), his wife Ugga (Catherine Keener), daughter Eep (Emma Stone), son Thunk (Clark Duke) and mother-in-law Gran (Cloris Leachman) soon find themselves homeless when a seismic upheaval literally brings the roof down. As they venture out into a wondrous, unknown world in search of a new home, the family soon team up with a nomadic caveboy called Guy (Ryan Reynolds), who offers his own unique take on the challenges ahead. In the sequel, 'The Croods: A New Age' (2020), the family return to challenge a rival crew who claim they are more evolved. The story follows patriarch Grug as he attempts to lead his family to safety. On their travels they discover a secluded land where they think they can be happy, but the problem is it is already occupied. The Betterman family have been living comfortably in this new land so when Grug and his clan threaten to ruin their idyll, tensions form. Can the two families put aside their differences when an even bigger threat occurs?
