Summary:
Jessica Swale writes and directs this British drama starring Gemma Arterton, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Tom Courtenay. In southern England during the Second World War, reclusive writer Alice Lamb (Arterton) reluctantly becomes the guardian of a young boy, Frank (Lucas Bond), who was forced to evacuate his London home during the Blitz. Despite her reservations, Alice and Frank form a strong bond as they help each other overcome personal tragedy.
