Summary:
Beanie Feldstein stars in this coming-of-age comedy based on Caitlin Moran's novel. Hoping to realise her dream of becoming a writer, 16-year-old Johanna Morrigan (Feldstein) leaves her Wolverhampton council estate to begin working as a music critic in London. Reinventing herself as red-haired Dolly Wilde, Johanna learns that to be successful she must write scathing reviews of the rock music she loves, gaining the fame and adulation she so craved but at great personal cost. The cast also includes Alfie Allen, Paddy Considine, Sarah Solemani and Emma Thompson.
