Espen Sandberg directs this biographical drama centred on the life of Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen (Pål Sverre Hagen). Fascinated by Arctic exploration from a young age, Amundsen embarks on the first expedition to the South Pole in 1911, a feat also being attempted by English explorer Robert Falcon Scott (David Bark-Jones) and the British Empire. When he returns triumphant, Amundsen sets his sights on reaching the North Pole. The cast also includes Christian Rubeck, Katherine Waterston and Trond Espen Seim.
