Summary:
Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel star in this French historical drama written and directed by Tran Anh Hung. Eugénie (Binoche) works as a cook for Dodin (Magimel), a gourmand who enjoys the creative brilliance of her food. They are in love and have been together for years, but Eugénie continues to decline his proposals of marriage, preferring that their relationship remain as it is. However, Dodin's plans to invite a visiting prince to his home for a meal are complicated by his growing concern for Eugénie's health. The cast also includes Galatéa Bellugi and Bonnie Chagneau-Ravoire.
