Summary:
Rob Marshal directs this live-action reimagining of the 1989 animated Disney classic. Mermaid Ariel (Halle Bailey) is the youngest daughter of King Triton (Javier Bardem), and she yearns to explore the world beyond the sea. When she defies her father's rules and ventures to the surface, she sees Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King) and is fascinated by him, ultimately saving his life during a storm. A fight with her father drives Ariel to seek out Ursula (Melissa McCarthy), a sea witch, and she trades her voice for legs so that she can live on land. She has three days to receive true love's kiss from Eric, but Ursula is treacherous and has plans of her own...
