13 Jan 2026 to 13 Feb 2026Central Lending Library
Event

As a prisoner of the first transport to Auschwitz and a victim of subsequent concentration camps, Marian Kołodziej spent more than five years in German captivity, which makes him a credible witness to Nazi crimes. After the war, he remained silent about his experiences for over fifty years, carrying the deeply hidden truth about Auschwitz. After the stroke he suffered in 1992, he began to create a series of drawings: "Memory Plates. Labyrinths", in which he included the whole truth about KL Auschwitz and other Nazi camps.

Exhibition is supported by the Polish Association Aberdeen and Consulate Poland of Edinburgh.

Location note:
The exhibition will be on display in the Information Centre during the regular opening hours of Central Library.
