We want to ensure that people in Aberdeen have a fair and equal opportunity to have their say on the impact the closure of Cults, Cornhill, Ferryhill, Kaimhill, Northfield and Woodside Libraries have had on individuals and communities.
We want to hear from people who have used this library in the last 5 years and live, work or study in Aberdeen, or care for someone who does.
As part of the consultation on these six libraries we are holding focus groups for each of the communities where libraries have closed. The purpose of these focus groups is to provide a further opportunity for people to share information on the impact of library closures, especially when people have not been able to access the online or printed survey.
Focus group questions will be shared in advance, you will receive a copy ahead of your booked focus group. The questions will mirror those in the online and printed survey.
Discussion within the focus group will be about sharing, listening and capturing the impact of that specific library closure. It will not include discussion about the decision made to close libraries or the judicial review.

What to expect at the focus group:
-Focus groups will be groups of up to 10 people + facilitators
-There will be 2 facilitators, one lead and another to take notes
-Sessions will last 1.5 hrs
-Questions will be shared in advance
-Equalities information will be collected at session by way of either an online form or paper copy, this is optional.
-At the end of the focus group discussion there will be a recap of the information discussed and what will happen next.
