Bookbug Says Hello to Storytime with Pauline Cordiner

As part of Bookbug Week 2024, Bookbug says "Hello!" to local storyteller Pauline Cordiner for a special storytime at Airyhall Library.

Suitable for children aged 3-7. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Lend and Mend: Get to grips with sewing machines with Repair What You Wear

This class is designed for those who want to use sewing machines, for repair and creative projects but don’t have experience. It will cover threading machines, all core stitching techniques, handling materials and problem solving. This short course is the best grounding to coming back into the library to use the machines in your own time.

NB: This is a one-off course with the same session taught every Monday. Please only book on to one session.

Across a four week block of sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to work on a set project within a supervised environment led by a Repair What You Wear tutor.

The sessions take place on 7th May, 21st May, 28th May and 4th June.

Bookbug sessions are free, friendly and fun sessions of stories, songs and rhymes for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and their parents/carers to enjoy together. Each session lasts around 30 minutes and they have been designed to support children’s development while having fun. They take place in a very relaxed environment and are a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your little one, meet other families and have fun together.

Numbers are limited and booking is essential. Places should be booked per adult; reservation of children's places is not required i.e. 1 adult and 2 children require 1 place.
