All seven episodes from the sixth series of the BBC wartime comedy classic, about a bumbling platoon of Home Guard soldiers led by the pompous Captain Mainwaring (Arthur Lowe), who are defending the sleepy village of Walmington-on-Sea in the Second World War. In this series, the platoon have to guard some shipwrecked German submariners, get into a fight with some visiting American soldiers, and when Mainwaiting has to go to hospital for a minor operation, Wilson (John Le Mesurier) finds himself in charge. Episodes are: 'The Deadly Attachment'; 'My British Buddy'; 'The Royal Train'; 'We Knows Our Onions'; 'The Honourable Man'; 'Things That Go Bump In the Night'; and 'The Recruit'.
