The Parishes of Boharm and Botriphine are situated to the west of Keith in Banffshire, the modern parish of Boharm also incorporating, since 1782, that part of the parish of Dundurcas which lay to the east of the River Spey. The Death and Burial records for both records are very sparse, and those which have survived have been extracted from the Kirk Session minutes together with Minister's deaths from Fasti Ecclesie Scoticanae, and some entries from the Old Parish Registers as noted below. The Kirk Session Minutes contain various entries of payments of Mortcloth dues, payments for coffins, payments for funerals, and other similar entries, which all give an indication of an approximate date of death.
