Psychological thriller adapted by Scottish author Gilbert Adair from his novel of the same name. After famous author Sir Paul (Tom Conti) is blinded in a horrific car accident, he takes on a beautiful and seemingly good-natured assistant, Jane Ryder (Daryl Hannah), to help him complete his latest book. However, events soon spiral out of control as Jane begins to pursue a deadly agenda of her own.
