Videos and DVDs
American Film Theatre film recording the 1974 stage production of Eugène Ionesco's absurdist comic play, in which the residents of a French town are surreally turning into rhinoceroses without anybody apparently noticing. Stanley (Gene Wilder), a depressive young man who is disillusioned by most of humanity, is the only person who can see what is going on. When just about everyone in town is affected by the disease except himself, Stanley tries to convey his concerns to his neighbour John (Zero Mostel) - but by this time he is starting to show a few disturbing tendencies himself...
