William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelley return to star in this sci-fi adventure sequel based on the 1960s TV series. In this instalment, the crew of the destroyed USS Enterprise abandon the 23rd century for Earth in the year 1986. In order to save the planet from a rogue space probe in the future, Admiral James T. Kirk (Shatner), Spock (Nimoy), Bones (Kelley) and the starship's crew must travel back to the 20th century to find the only creature capable of communicating with it: humpback whales.
