Sylvester Stallone directs this sequel to 'Saturday Night Fever' (1977) following Tony Manero (John Travolta), six years older, working as a waiter in a nightclub as he attempts to make it as a dancer on Broadway. When he lands a role in the chorus of 'Satan's Alley' he quickly moves to pursuing the show's female lead (Finola Hughes), forgetting that he has a dependable and caring woman (Cynthia Rhodes) waiting for him at him home. Then when the male lead is forced to leave the show, Tony is overjoyed to be offered the part in his place - but will the headstrong Brooklyn boy be able to pull it off?
