Low-budget classic horror from film-maker George A. Romero. When siblings Barbra (Judith O'Dea) and Johnny (Russell Streiner) visit their father's grave, they are attacked in the cemetery and Johnny is killed. Barbra escapes to a nearby farmhouse where she finds a small group of people sheltering and learns that an army of the living dead are besieging the country. As the farmhouse is surrounded by an increasing number of ghouls, Ben (Duane Jones) tries the protect the group, but chaos ensues when the horde breaks in. The cast also includes Karl Hardman, Marilyn Eastman and Judith Ridley.
