David Silverman directs this animated comedy adventure based on the television series of the same name. After Homer (voice of Dan Castellaneta) pollutes Lake Springfield, the angry townsfolk force the Simpson family to flee to Alaska. Meanwhile, President Arnold Schwarzenegger (Harry Shearer) orders Springfield to be sealed under a glass dome which cuts the town off from the rest of the world. When the Simpsons realise that Springfield is going to be destroyed, they decide to return - except for Homer, who refuses to accompany them - but their attempt to help ends with their capture. Can Homer save his family, friends and home?
