Cary Elwes stars in this comedy adventure parody co-written and directed by Mel Brooks. After escaping from prison in Jerusalem, Robin of Loxley (Elwes) returns to England to discover that his family is dead and the evil Prince John (Richard Lewis) has assumed power in King Richard (Patrick Stewart)'s absence. Seeking to avenge his family, Robin embarks on a quest with the Merry Men to defeat Prince John and his crony the Sheriff of Rottingham (Roger Rees), drawing the attention of Maid Marian (Amy Yasbeck) in the process. The cast also includes Isaac Hayes, Dave Chappelle and Dom DeLuise.
