Classic comedy starring Rex Harrison and Gene Tierney. Recently widowed Lucy Muir (Tierney) decides to make a clean start with her daughter Anna (Natalie Wood) and moves out of her in-laws' home in London heading to the English seaside where she finds a quaint cottage available for rent. When the estate agent informs her that the cottage is haunted by the ghost of the former owner, she dismisses the claim and resolves herself to make the most of her new life. When Lucy comes face-to-face with the spirit of sea captain Daniel Gregg (Harrison), she maintains her courage, refusing to be scared of him. As the unlikely pair find common ground, friendship blooms and Daniel encourages Lucy to move on with her life and find a new husband. But he will have to meet Daniel's high standards first...
