A critically acclaimed documentary about three young boxers and their trainer's quest for success. Presenting a side of the sport rarely seen, directors Nanette Burstein and Brett Morgen follow three boxing hopefuls, Noel Santiago, George Walton, and Tyrene Manson, as they seek to find a way out of the grinding poverty of their New York slum-ridden lives. Their trainer Harry Keitt, a former fighter and now recovering alcoholic, finds himself torn between his desire to help his trainees and the hope of sharing in their future prize money.
