DreamWorks animation which follows the adventures of a stallion named Spirit (voice of Matt Damon) during the days of the Old West. Born into the wild, Spirit is one day captured and detained at a US cavalry base, where he refuses a soldier's attempts to break him. Joining with an imprisoned Native American called Little Creek (Daniel Studi), Spirit soon escapes the camp and goes to stay with his new friend's people. But when he is later recaptured and forced to work on the railroad, Spirit realises that his land and his family are in grave danger.
