Entire second series of the Highland drama shown on BBC Television. Once more Archie (Alastair MacKenzie) is struggling with the challenge of turning the Glenbogle estate into a financially thriving proposition. As before, his father Hector (Richard Briers) proves more of a hindrance than a help in this task. Archie also presides over the appointment of a new Head Ranger, which brings dilemmas over promoting from within or bringing in new blood from outside the estate. But Archie's problems do not end there, what with his mother Molly's gambling debts, affairs of the heart with Lexie (Dawn Steele) and of course the approach of his thirtieth birthday.
