Sean Connery and Michelle Pfeiffer star in this adaptation of John le Carre's novel. Russian book editor Katya (Pfeiffer) sends British publisher Barley Blair (Connery) a manuscript written by a Russian scientist. British Intelligence intercepts the manuscript, and convinces Blair to lead them to the scientist - but Blair himself is more preoccupied with meeting the beautiful and elusive Katya.
