Double bill of sci-fi horror classics. In 'The Fly' (1958), scientist André Delambre (David Hedison) is attempting to develop a device that can transport matter. After conducting successful tests on inanimate objects and small animals, he begins preparations for human testing. However, when he tests the device on himself, he does not realise that there is a fly in the chamber with him until their atoms merge. When he and his wife Hélène (Patricia Owens) are unable to find the fly so that they can reverse the process, André begins losing his mind as the fly's instincts take over, which leads him to make a shocking decision about his future. The sequel 'Return of the Fly' (1959) follows the attempts of André's son Philippe (Brett Halsey) to successfully complete his father's work. Unfortunately, he hires Alan Hinds (David Frankham) to work with him, not realising that Hinds is engaging in corporate espionage and is willing to use the transporter to deal with his enemies. When Hinds traps Philippe in the transporter with a fly, will he suffer the same fate as his father?
