A day trip with her grandchildren, Marine (Adele Csech) and Thomas (Lucas Franchi), takes an unexpected turn when retired schoolteacher Danielle (Bernadette Lafont) refuses to return the kids to their parents, instead leading them on an odyssey into the Swiss mountains. What begins as a grand adventure for the children becomes increasingly alarming as their grandmother's behaviour becomes more and more erratic. Family relations, and Danielle's own troubled soul, are tested to the limits.
