TV drama series about an ex-special forces operative and convicted murderer who becomes a reluctant hitman. Released from prison unexpectedly early, John Mercer (Andrew Buchan) is introduced to ex-police officer Lenny Douglas (Peter Mullan) who makes it clear to Mercer that his freedom comes at a price - he must assassinate an untouchable criminal who has recently killed a senior figure in the police force. This fast-paced action series, from the writers of 'Spooks', looks at those shadowy people who enforce the law whilst operating outside its usual parameters.
