When Ichabod Crane (Mison) and Abraham Van Brunt (Neil Jackson) killed each other on the battlefield in 1781, their blood mixed together creating an eternal connection. More than 230 years later, Van Brunt, now the Headless Horseman (Jeremy Owens), is resurrected by an occult group rooting for evil and this, in turn, causes Ichabod to rise, his blood feeling the pull of his nemesis. After the Horseman beheads a local policeman, Lt. Abbie Mills (Beharie) takes it upon herself to investigate the supposed legend of Sleepy Hollow.
