Olivia Coleman and Vanessa Redgrave star in this psychological drama based on Diane Setterfield's novel. When biographer Margaret Lea (Coleman) is asked to visit reclusive novelist Vida Winter (Redgrave) with a view to writing about her life, Margaret rapidly becomes hooked on the dying woman's story. As Vida tells Margaret of the disturbing events of her dark and interesting life Margaret starts to wonder if she is actually listening to a series of confessions rather than memoirs. Sophie Turner also stars.
