This issue of Taywood News contains an article on pages 7-10 which features Queen Elizabeth II accompanied by H.R.H Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh performing the opening ceremony at the new Town House extension on 20th May in her Silver Jubilee year, 1977. The extension was built by Taylor Woodrow Construction (Scotland) Ltd for the City of Aberdeen. The article contains colour photos of the Queen unveiling the commemorative plaque in the new council chamber and meeting the team responsible for constructing the building.
