Teenage rebellion drama directed by Laurent Cantet and set in upstate New York. A group of young girls living in a poor and abusive society form a gang labelled 'Foxfire' by their leader Legs (Raven Adamson). Looking to undermine the patriarchal nature of their school and wider society, the gang first succeed in forcing a teacher guilty of acting indecently towards one of the girls to retire. With their newfound success and growing confidence they begin to wage an even bigger campaign of retaliation against the male-dominated culture that surrounds them.
