Italian drama starring Toni Servillo. Owing to the large crimson birthmark on his forehead, prison cashier and keen gambler Marino Pacileo (Servillo) is known to his friends as 'Gorbaciof'. Determined to win big, he begins attending illicit high-stakes card matches held by a local Chinese restaurateur (Hal Yamanouchi), and it is here where he meets and falls head over heels for the businessman's daughter Lila (Mi Yang), much to the chagrin of her father. But when the same man starts to go through a spate of financial problems, he finds himself depending on Gorbaciof for help...
