Disney's animated adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's Mowgli stories. After being abandoned as a child, Mowgli (voice of Bruce Reitherman) is raised by wolves in the jungle. However, when news arrives that the murderous, man-hating tiger Shere Khan (George Sanders) has returned to their part of the jungle, Mowgli's friends Bagheera the black panther (Sebastian Cabot) and Baloo the bear (Phil Harris) decide to take a reluctant Mowgli to a nearby human village for his own safety. Their task is not made any easier when Mowgli is hypnotised by Kaa the python (Sterling Holloway) and is later kidnapped at the behest of the monkey leader King Louie (Louis Prima), who wishes to learn how to make fire...
