Soundtrack to the documentary film by Dave Grohl about the history of the Los Angeles recording studio, Sound City Studios. The film tells the story of the studio's early days until its closing in 2011. It then follows Dave Grohl's purchase of the studio's analog console, which he then relocated to his own Studio 606 where famous musicians reunited to make a new album using the console. Artists include Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, Chris Goss and Rick Springfield.
