Leonardo DiCaprio stars as aviator Howard Hughes in the American biopic directed by Martin Scorsese. The son of a Texan inventor who died and left him a small fortune, Hughes moves to Los Angeles to become a Hollywood film producer and produces such classics as 'Hell's Angels' (1930), 'The Front Page' (1931) and 'Scarface' (1932). He also becomes involved in the aviation industry, designing new planes, setting air speed records and flying around the world risking his life testing aircraft. As his ideas become bolder, his approach becomes more eccentric as his obsessive-compulsive disorder worsens, and he gains many powerful enemies. The cast also includes Cate Blanchett, Kate Beckinsale, John C. Reilly and Alec Baldwin.
