Comedy starring Eddie Murphy as Dave Ming Chang, a peculiar man who has recently arrived in New York City. On the outside Dave appears very out of place and uncomfortable in his own body. The reason for this is that 'Dave' is not a man at all; he's a human spaceship modelled on the image of the ship's miniature-sized captain. The captain's crew of humanoid aliens have boarded the vessel in an attempt to save their home planet. Unfortunately, their mission is put on hold when the ship becomes smitten with a beautiful Earth woman called Gina (Elizabeth Banks).
