All seven episodes of the Australian drama based on the novel by Holly Ringland. Alice Hart (Alyla Browne) has grown up in an abusive household, terrified to step out of line. When her parents die in a fire, she is sent to live with her grandmother June (Sigourney Weaver) who takes her in but harbours many secrets of her own. As she gets older, Alice (Alycia Debnam-Carey) learns of the refuge for abused women run by her grandmother and begins to understand the sacrifices she has made for these women in her care.
