All three episodes from the 13th series of the ITV crime thriller based on the novels by Ann Cleeves in which Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn) and her team carry out various murder investigations in Northumberland. In this series, Joe Ashworth (David Leon) returns from London, now a Detective Inspector with his own agenda. Meanwhile, a man is found dead after being hit by a car, the body of a sickly young girl is discovered in the middle of nowhere and the co-owner of a chip shop is found dead in his own freezer. The episodes are: 'Fast Love', 'Tender' and 'Salt and Vinegar'. The 2023 Christmas special 'The Rising Tide' is also included.
