A decorative programme and menu booklet for a Hogmanay dinner at the London & North Eastern Railway owned Palace Hotel on Aberdeen's Union Street in 1940. The front cover features an illustration of Georgian period dancers. The inside pages list the music to be played and food to be served. Music was to begin from 7.30pm and was provided by the Palace Hotel orchestra under the direction of Mr. Edward Stavert. Dancing was to continue in the ballroom until 1.30am.
