This volume is about the working life of Theodore Shennan, M.D., F.R.C.S.Ed., L.L.D. (1869-1948), from his time as a student in Edinburgh to his mature years as Regius Professor of Pathology at the University of Aberdeen. This book was written by his daughter, Jean L. Shennan. The history is mainly based on Theodore Shennan's memoir, written after he retired, and sent as letters to his elder son, David, then on active servive in WWII. The author has edited this text and expanded it using other letters and diaries written by Shennan as a young man.
