After spending three years fighting in the American War of Independence, Poldark must rebuild his life in the small Cornish copper mining town he calls home. In this series, Poldark is summoned to return to London to come to the aid of Colonel Edward Despard (Vincent Regan) and thwarts an assassination plot against the King of England.
