North East Scotland at war : facts and events 1939-1945
Stewart, Alan2018
Books, Manuscripts
Almost 75 years after World War Two ended, recollections and reminders of the dark years through 1939-1945 are slowly disappearing. The aim of this book is to record facts and events around the North East of Scotland in sufficient detail from as many different sources as possible. Reminders of wartime activities are still visible in the area such as anti-tank blocks and pillboxes, to less obvious things like craters left by bombs or the clearance of landmines.
