Three-part BBC drama based on the novel by J.K. Rowling. The show follows struggling private detective Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke) as he uses his skills as a former Royal Military Special Investigation Branch investigator to examine the death of a model who has fallen from a balcony in Mayfair. The police assume she committed suicide but her brother suspects foul play and hires Strike to make his own judgment. As he delves deeper into the mystery and tries to gain an insight into the victim's life and the murky circumstances surrounding her death, Strike begins working with his new, temporary secretary Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger).
