This is the Scottish Environment Protection Agency's latest report on the state of Scotland's bathing waters. After the 2015 season the way we describe bathing water quality at all of our bathing waters will change. A new system, standardised across all European bathing waters will be applied in Scotland when the final implementation steps for the revised Bathing Water Directive come into effect. This year's report summarises what this new directive will mean for Scotland's bathing waters, it contains details of our monitoring results from the 2014 bathing season and has updates on our on-going work and future plans.
